People development
At BH Global, we believe that developing a
strong talent pool and being able to retain them
simultaneously is key to our success in driving the
Group’s growth. To empower the young to become
responsible and competent leaders of tomorrow, we
believe that education is an integral component. In
achieving this, BH Global has consistently invested
in human capital with a range of training and
development programs, welfare and healthcare
program (WHP) and teambuilding activities.
Employee Development: During FY2012, we provided
training and development programs tailor-made for all
staff levels which are relevant to the needs of both
employees and our businesses. The training is aimed
at broadening skill sets in all aspects such as finance,
accounting, technical and operational. We also
attempt to groom future leaders via programs such
as talent management workshops and leadership
training.
Wellfare and Health Programs: At BH Global, we
are consistently engaging employees to make good
decisions and better manage their health. Apart from
organizing health talks and workshops periodically on
diets, cancer prevention and stress management, we
are also concerned in making BH Global a safe and
ergonomic place to work. BH Global also sponsored,
at Group level, a health screening program for the first
time in FY2012 which comprised of a comprehensive
health screening package and doctor’s review after
the test. The health screening is part of the annual
program under the WHP.
Team Building: Regular departmental team
building activities aim to foster team spirit and
teamwork, promote good camaraderie and improve
communication among all levels of employees.
During FY2012, we organized team building events
like paintball and archery sessions to increase the
employees’ understanding of team dynamics and
the benefit of team work in achieving the Group’s
goals. Besides that, we also held quarterly Happy
Hour gatherings and monthly birthday celebrations to
promote interaction in the workplace.
